I purchased TDK Music CD-RW Discs recently. The TDK CD-RW's record very accurately. I had not been able to find a store that had the "Music CD-RW's" available for sale. It is really great that AMAZON.COM makes available all of the company's variety of merchandise.
No problems at all. I have a Pioneer PDR 555RW and can only record on audio cd's. Thicker and sturdier than your typical cd-r, cd-rw and better protective coating from getting scratched. Not to many left out there to choose from, so I grabbed these while they are still there. I have erased and recorded just on two discs alone many, may times. These are the ones to get. Great sound, no fluctuation, I have been using digital in and it just doesn't get any better than this.
These work just great in my phillips recorder. To record on the unit I have you need the cd's that are listed as music cd's.
I went by the review in this profile claiming that the Music CDRW worked in his phillips home audio CD recorder. The only RW that I have had luck with is the Memorex Music CDRW, but they don't sell them anymore. I have not had the same luck. I have tried 3 different discs and they all come up with the OPC ERROR. The last time i bought them was about 8yrs ago in a 5pack at KMART. Go figure.
My present PC performs wonderfully with the considerable tweaking that I've performed on it. The three drives I use these TDK CD's in perform flawlessly with my antique PC. It's a bulletproof Sony Vaio. It's a 10 year old antique in today's world. These slow CD's are becoming difficult to find, and these are as good as any I've ever used. They perform "above and beyond" on all of of my several, very old and slow CD/DVD players with read-write capabilities. I'm not a huge "consumer" and hold on to things that work well, no matter what technological advances may offer.Buy these CD's for outstanding reproduction of ALL of your materials located on older drives, including data and music files.
